Longhorn Bar & Grill

From the outside, it looked like a small hole in the wall bar and grill. Once inside, it had a fairly large dining area. The service was GREAT! The menu had a good variety of options and they offer daily specials for food and beverages. The Cheesy Bacon Tots we ordered as an appetizer were good. The tots were crispy and the cheese and bacon were plentiful. If you like jalepenos, you will love the large jalepeno slices topping the cheese tots. The wings (6 per order) and burgers we ordered sadly left something to be desired. We ordered the California Burger and the Blue Cheese Burger on special for the day. The burger patties appeared to be frozen patties. The patty did not have much flavor at all. The toppings were delicious and would have been so much better on a fresh patty. The regular fries served with the burgers were a bit soggy. We enjoyed our visit and will try some of their other menu items in hopes of finding their signature dishes.

My grandma used to take my brother and I here. 30 years later we still come here. I think the ownership has changed hands but things haven't changed. The service is friendly. The burgers are awesome. Their daily specials are great and always changing. The 'Duke' John Wayne theme is cool. This bar and grill is kid friendly. It's full of locals watching sports, new fathers from Kaiser Hospital celebrating the birth of their child and families eating comfort food. Definitely best burger this side of The 5 freeway.

We accidentally found this place, and although I'm not a big burger enthusiast, my husband enjoyed it. I was surprised by how much I liked my burger, 'The Duke,' and the atmosphere and service were excellent. I'm looking forward to trying their cocktails on my next visit!

Went for dinner with my wife on Tuesday night. Great selection of beer and Cocktails. Food was okay, special. Great atmosphere lots of energy. A nice neighborhood watering hole with food service.

As my wife and I approached I was not sure what to expect the photos online did not give much clarity of what this place is. Once we walked in I fell in love enjoyed the stuff on the wall it was quiet the cooks followed by the bartender greeted us right away as we walked in. Every one was super friendly relaxing welcoming environment. Nice place to grab a burger beer and kick back watching the Padres. My only gripe with the place is something that’s very common here in San Diego so no fault to them simply is no Miller Lite on tap. Enjoyed the “Duke” Room aka John Wayne room pretty cool.

Great food! Great ambiance (especially for John Wayne fans)! Great service! It's like a local Cheers place, where everybody knows your name.
